Eastbourne Airshow Rally '23

This weekend saw the BMYC cruising fleet visit Eastbourne for the airshow. Weather on Saturday morning was not ideal, especially for the motor cruisers and in the end 14 of the 19 boats set out. The weather improved through the day and anchorage had great holding with 20kts wind from the SSW.

It was a perfect position to see the airshow - with the planes banking directly overhead!

In the evening, a great night was had as guests of SHYC who had lovely food and live entertainment arranged for the evening. Sunday was classic "champagne" sailing with blue skies and 12kts of wind to whisk us home!
