Road Trip - North Sails & Elephant Boatyard

We had a road trip with over 20 members participating.

In the morning, we visited North Sails to hear about sail technology manufacturing and then we had a tour of the sail loft to see the fabrication in progress.

Lunch was at the jolly Sailor in the Hamble - one of our favourite to visit by boat - it was a change to visit by road!!!

In the afternoon we visited Elephant Boatyard where we had a fascinating tour of the yard where we met craftspeople working on classic boat restoration. Tom gave an amazing talk on the fascinating history of the boatyard.
