BMYC Cruising invites you to join us at the Eastbourne Airshow - watching the Airshow from the sea is absolutely the best !
Friday 14/8 19:30 Optional briefing at BMYC
Saturday 15/8 06:00 depart BMYC - 19.5NM to Eastbourne
- 11:00 Anchor off Eastbourne beach - see notices for exclusion area (100 m from shoreside)
- 16:00 anchored in SHYC - need to be in early to avoid the big queues in the lock & get a convenient space
- Worried about anchoring ? Ask one of the cruising section members!
- 17:00 Sundowners on Scorpio or on the pontoon
- 19:30 Supper at Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club
Sunday 16/8 Sail back to Brighton
- 13:00 departure would be best - maybe breakfast in Sovereign Harbour relax or go out to watch some more of the morning Airshow.
- 14:00 regroup off Eastbourne pier and head for home!
COMMUNICATIONS : Please use VHF 72 and BMYC Cruising WhatsApp for communications during the event.
EMERGENCIES: In case of emergency please follow normal protocols with recourse to VHF 16 Coastguard or telephone 999 for emergency services.
CONTINGENCY : If the weather is not suitable, we can drive to beachy head to watch the Airshow, back to Brighton for sundowners and supper in BMYC!
