Club Class Autumn '23 » Club Class Week 5 Update
Dear Club Classers
Storm Babet is still battering parts of the UK and whilst the worst of it will have moved on from Brighton by the morning the 'afters' will still see winds of up to 25 knts and seas of over 2m so getting out of the marina won't be an option.
As such we are standing the boats down but will be rocking up to the club with a view to laying on some informative chats and activity so anyone still wanting to join in is more than welcome.
It's a shame we'll miss the last water-based session but we've had 4 excellent sessions afloat and we hope you've all learned loads and more importantly got the racing bug!
Next steps are very much down to you now but we're here to help! Skippers and boats are looking for crews so you need to put yourself out there. Via the FaceBook site, Dave's WhatsApp Group or simply 'dock walking' on a race morning! The new club website which is hosted by Sailing Club Manager also has a forum function that we will be turning on soon and could be a good way to match boats to crews.
And if all else fails we'll do our best to monitor emails to this address.
If we don't see you tomorrow we hope we'll see you around the club for sailing, drinking, eating? Many thanks for your enthusiasm it really has been a joy seeing so many happy faces after sailing.
Thanks to all our boat owners, skippers and experienced crews for sharing their toys, their time and their expertise!
Lee Ho!
