BMYC Cruising invites you to join us at the East bourne Airshow - watching the airshow from the sea is absolutely the best !
Friday 18/8 20:00 Optional briefing at BMYC
Saturday 19/8 06:00 depart BMYC - 19.5NM to eastbourne - LW is 07:52 so 06:00 should be sufficient time to get out - please determine the best time to get out past the marina entrance for your boat
11:00 Anchor off eastbourne beach - see notices for exclusion area (100 m from shoreside )
16:00 anchored in SHYC - need to be in early to avoid teh big queus in the lock & get a convenient space
Worried about anchoring ? Ask one of the cruising section members!
17:00 Sundowners on Scorpio or on the pontoon
19:30 Supper at Soverign Harbour Yacht Club
Sunday 20/8 Sail backto Brighton
Leisurely start as High Water at eastbourne is circa 14:20, so an 11:00 departure would be best -
maybe breakfast in Soverign Harbour relax or go out to watch some more of the morning airshow.
regroup at 12:00 off eastbourne pier and head for home!
NOTE : We will use VHF Channel 72 and BMYC Crusining watsapp for communication throughout.
CONTINGENCY : If the weather is not suitable, we can drive to beachy head to watch the airshow, back to Brighton for sundowners and supper in BMYC !
