Brighton Marina Yacht Club (BMYC) is very much part of Brighton Marina; a private members club, owned and funded by our members, founded in 1978 at time when Brighton Marina first opened we were one of the few organisations in Brighton Marina at that time.  We have continued to grow and evolve alongside the ever developing infrastructure and culture of the marina itself.

Our first club premises was floating – the MV Medina, which was moored within Brighton Marina at a location reclaimed and currently used as a car park. Since that time our ‘home’ has seen a number of different locations within Brighton Marina as development evolved from land reclamation to the busy residential, leisure and commercial environment still growing today.

We relocated once again in September 2015 to our home afloat in the heart of Brighton Marina, surrounded by members’ boats. It is our largest space yet with excellent facilities for members and guests to enjoy events and business collaborations.

We extend a warm welcome to potential new members as well as the many visiting yachtsmen from around the UK and overseas who find a safe and friendly haven at Brighton Marina.

Our Bar is well-stocked complementing our excellent galley. A light and airy lounge area and extensive waterside terrace combine to produce the newest and most attractive social facilities in the City of Brighton.

Please bear in mind that we are a not-for-profit organisation; accordingly, there are a few rules that we must apply that pubs and restaurants do not have to adhere to, we have to limit the visiting occasions from non-members to four after which we invite those who want to continue to enjoy our facilities and the benefits to take up membership.
