BMYC Members' Burgee

Brighton Marina Yacht Club Members’ Burgee.

Flying the burgee is an important part of belonging to a yacht club and we should fly our burgee with pride!

Powerboats fly the burgee from their bow, while most sailboats fly the burgee from the starboard spreader.

The burgee should take the next most senior position on a yacht, which is at the main masthead. Only one burgee should be flown on a yacht. However, no other flag should be flown above the burgee on the same halyard.

Please note, once purchased, the burgee will be prepared for you and you will be notified when it is ready for collection in the club – typically 1-3 days.
