Life in the Club House

15 July 2020

Dear All,

The Club House is well and truly open to support social, racing and other boating activities, within the regulations and guidelines set by Government. Members who have visited already tell me that we are off to a good start.

New licensees Chris and Penny, with their location general manager Becky, are providing food, drink and hospitality under “The Watershed at BMYC” banner. They are leading us through the Covid-19 rules applying to members’ clubs, as they evolve. They are also learning about what members want from the Club House in the new normal times, and will tailor such things as food offering and opening times to suit. There are frequent updates being published to keep everyone informed, as we all learn. It’s a good time to make the most of being a member by using the Club House often, and being part of the learning process.

Pre-race gathering in the Club House is being restricted by the Race Committee’s notices, but post-race getting together, within the rules, is once again a rewarding way to round off the sailing exertions. Come and join in.

Best wishes,

Michael Holmes
